LOVE & FAITH is the groundbreaking talk show at the intersection of faith and the LGBTQ experience.
For many in the LGTBQ community, religious teachings have historically been difficult to navigate; but still, a strong connection to faith remains. The challenge facing the LGBTQ community is understanding and ultimately facing how one’s individual experiences intersect with long stand- ing religious cultures.
In this bold, first to market talk show, LOVE & FAITH provides a safe forum where LGBTQ people can, through sharing their stories, provide a roadmap for the audience to gain a greater understanding. With intimate, inspiring stories from people of all walks of life, in all religions, LOVE & FAITH aims to showcase freedom, love, community and true revelation.
JLTV is proud to produce this unique series of weekly specials addressing the issues of individuals who are pioneers in the journey of navigating the institutions of their faith with their own sexual/gender identity.
In each episode, our host will have a conversation with LGBTQ members of a specific religious community (i.e. Orthodox Jews, Conservative Christians, etc.) about how they reconciled their sexuality with their faith. Often, faith leaders and clergy will join the conversation with guidance and historical wisdom.
Leveraging the production resources of Jewish Life Television, the historical resources of the Museum of Jewish Heritage, and the digital resources of its division JewishGen, these three leading organizations have partnered to produce the newest genealogy- themed television series – Generations.
On every episode of Generations, a special celebrity guest joins us as we embark on an extraordinary journey of exploration. Hosted by JLTV’s Brad Pomerance, Generations unravels fascinating histories of our guest’s many ancestors by uncovering unknown, unexpected, and often unbelievable stories through exacting genealogical research of our genealogical experts from around the globe.
Through this meticulous investigation and by interviewing our guests and their family members, Generations reveals intimate, often unfamiliar, and invariably cherished details about the lives of their ancestors, shedding light on their heritage and how that heritage has shaped their very own modern lives.
Generations not only uncovers the many branches of our celebrities’ family trees, but immerses our audience into the vibrant history of the many places where their ancestors lived around the world. Brace yourself for awe-inspiring encounters as Generations presents our guests with actual artifacts and objects, documents and photographs, as we bring their families’ histories to life.
In addition to traditional genealogical research, Generations incorporates cutting-edge DNA analysis, analyzed to provide exceedingly deep insights into their ethnicity and potential familial connections. Generations’ DNA analysis strives to not only uncovers unanticipat- ed surprises, maybe even long-lost relatives, but also highlights the shared ancestry and interconnectedness of humanity.
